Mental Wellness Explained

Mental Health Coaching is a collaborative and personalized partnership between the coach and the client, aimed at achieving meaningful changes in the client’s life. Coaching is about guiding individuals to find their own motivation and strategies for change that effect lasting and meaningful improvements in their lives.


Mental Wellness coaching involves addressing symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, and ADHD. It also encompasses concerns with negative self-image and insecurity.


A Mental Wellness Coach motivates their clients, empowering them to make changes that will improve their daily lives. They provide the tools and the understanding necessary for clients to accomplish personal goals or those set by other health professionals like psychologists, counselors, or therapists.


They assist individuals in gaining skills and increased self-efficacy to promote resilience and lifestyle behaviors that support positive mental health, effective performance, and productivity. The coach draws upon multi-faceted frameworks including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction to support individuals in achieving their full potential. They provide support and guide clients through their journey, not by dictating their path, but working alongside them as they navigate toward their desired future.


This is a collaborative process wherein the coach and client will develop, test, and refine strategies to achieve the client’s goals.


Components of this process include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding each client’s unique situation, goals, and aspirations.
  • Centered around the individual, utilizing evidence-based methods to foster personal insight, growth, and change.
  • Building rapport
  • Sharing knowledge
  • Applying problem-solving techniques collaboratively
